Bonnie Hunt Discusses New Talk Show

Actress Bonnie Hunt has decided to throw her hat in the ring and will be starring in her own talk show which is set to debut on Monday September 8, 2008.  If you remember, she used to play a talk show host on a sitcom called “Life With Bonnie” (it lasted only two years and I never really watched it, to be honest).  I’m not sure what kind of show this is going to turn out to be or what she’s going to be like as a host but I am kinda tired of all of these new talk shows.  Here’s what she said about the show: “We want to do something that is as smart as we can make it, and as complimentary to our audience — which will be mostly women at home each day.”

She added that the talk show is one of her favorite formats but feels that in the last decade, the quality has declined “and they usually go one of two ways. They’re either about celebrities or have a lot of DNA testing.”

I guess she’s being realistic about her competition since this funny commercial talks about her not being Oprah.
